It's certainly hard to say, but I wouldn't necessarily give up hope, especially if your cat is young and healthy. As with people who have been in a terrible accident, good medical care can turn things around and your cat might have many years left with you. If she is an old cat who has already lived most of her life, then it might be a different story and you might have to weigh the benefit of a couple more years versus a huge medical bill. Generally speaking, though, I'd say go with your heart on this one. If you go with your head TOO much, you may end up feeling guilty later.
On the other hand, I know you'll probably feel guilty either way. Everyone I know who has ever had to deal with euthanizing or not euthanizing has felt guilty afterward, regardless of which way they went. It's the downside of being a pet owner :(

I am sorry to hear this ..
there is a stray that I see out side our house , I feed her some time and give her water, she was hit by a car, tried to take her to the vet but she disappeared. later saw her in the backyards on the floor refusing to let any one touch her but it was obviouse that her 3 legs were broken..that was months ago ,,, she gets in and out of our house by jumping the fence !! she is not waking well though but she is ok ,, at that time I thought she wont make it from the way she looked like..
Do not give up hope ...
I just wanted to wish you and her all the luck she needs .
I pray to God that she'd be well.
Good luck

I wouldn't give up hope yet. I know a few people who's cats have been knocked down and have survived. But still I wouldn't get my hopes up

I fear that she will not do well, and I am so sorry....I know it might be difficult for you, but you should think of her quality of life right now...I think that even with all the treatment they are doing, she is better off being humanely euthanized and given some peace.....

You really need to think about the cat right now. Not what you think would be the best thing. This is a lot for an animal to have to go through. it can be really stressful. Is the cat suffering right now? It sounds like it to me. I know that you love this cat a lot and you only want to help and make them better. But this is a cat not a human . A human can with~ stand a lot a cat can't. They don't understand what is happening. It can be scary for them. I would suggest putting the cat out of its misery and pain. Put the cat down. I'm sorry but you are putting the cat through more pain and misery then it is worth.
Adapt another cat for your local SPCA and learn for your mistakes of letting the cat out. Keep the new cat inside. Then this wouldn't happen.
