If you live in the UK, then these places will do it:http://www.petplanet.co.uk/pet_insurance…http://www.cavyrescue.co.uk/small-pet-in…
It appears in the USA, The ASPCA will insure small animals, call them toll free for a quote.http://www.aspcapetinsurance.com/?utm_id…

    Try “Lloywww.lloyds.com/ – Similar pages
    Lloyds of London
They were one of the first to insure any animals.

I looked up rodent insurance and I did find one insurance company that covers rats. It is listed under exotic pets. It is called VPI insurance. The phone number is: 888-899-4vpi. The website is: http://www.petinsurance.com/coverage/exotic etc. It won’t let you in by typing the whole line. It might be easiest by typing in VPI insurance into your search engine.
    Hope this helps.

insurance is currently not availiable for pet rats. their life span is only between 3 and 5 years. rats are not expensive to have. they are actually relatively cheap compared to other pets.

There have been many discussions about pet insurance for rats on the many rat forums I belong to. Even http://www.petinsurance.com has been looked into. Even though it mentions the exotics in their insurance plan, this group too, is loath to help out when it comes down to the crunch.
What we hear most often for lack of insurance for our pet rats is that their life spans are too short, and in that short life span they are host to miriad of diseases. Benign mammary tumors and Mycoplasmosis being the two most prominant, and incurable, of these diseases.
I’m sorry, but in the 10 years that I have had rats as pets I have yet to find insurance for them, and believe me, with the help of others, I have tried.
The best solution is to open a special account just for your rats, and instead of sending the money to an insurance company, send it to that account. That way, you’ll be ready for future expenses.
