You certainly are a good-natured person (or love that gal very much)!
Call several doctors offices and ask about it. As another suggested, Benedryl may help. Works for me, but I don’t take it all the time or for this type of allergy (I’ve used it for black fly bites).
There may also be low cost clinics if you qualify. Check with your local government offices.

LOL You sounds like my boyfriend. Walk into a doctors office and ask ” How much would it cost for allergy shot without insurance.” Meanwhile try Benadryl works good on him.

I don’t know how much they are, but I know it is worth the shots.
I get them every week, they tried to give it to me twice a week
but it didn’t work out, So I went back for the every week shots.
Call to your local Baz and Allergy Center and just ask them how
much it will be with out the Insurance. Good Luck!! cause I know
just the flu shots alone are $25.00, so hopefully it’s not that much.
Using floranase (nasal spray) helps with runny nose, congested,
sneezing.

That all depends on what doctor you go to. Allergy shots can start at about $10, and up. If you haven’t gone to an allergist, you may not recieve any allergy shots. I was on allergy shots for nearly 16 years, and I am no longer on them. WHen I first went to the allergist, I had what is called a “prick” test, which means the first test was they pressed this brush on my arms, and if it swells up like a mosquito bite, that means I am allergic to that item. and the next test was they used these tiny syrindge, which was almost like the syrindge they use to give you allergy shots, and it was the the same results when they used that brush. After about 2 weeks or so, I started on the allergy shots, and the first stage is build up, which means you need to go every week to recieve the allergy shots, for so many weeks, after that, you are on maintence, which means you have to go for the allergy shots every 3 to 4 weeks. AFter the shot is given, you need to wait 30 minutes, that way if you have a severe reaction, the doctor can take care of it. YOu may be also givien what is called the Epi-Pen, which is a syrindge you take with you to the doctor’s office as well as take it along with you and you inject it into your thigh if you have an allergic reaction that day after you leave the office. (Simalar to a shot you would need to give to yourself when you get stung by a bee)
YOu need to go to an allergist if you haven’t done so, and talk to them about it. You have to go through all the tests I stated above, and find out what else you are allergic to besides your girlfriend’s cat. ANd the allergist’s visit will cost A LOT OF MONEY if you don’t have any insurance. I strongly recommend that you try to get a health insurance policy so you don’t have to pay so much for your office visits. Most likely if you have a health insurance policy, you just have to pay a co-payment, and it may be as high as $20.00
If you don’t feel comfortable going to an alllergist, and the allergy shots, go to the drug store, and purchase some Benadryl, or Claritin, or any other allergy medicine over the counter, and that will help you allergies. Also after the skin testing and all that, you will recieve presrtiption medicine for your allergies.
