They gave her a strong antibiotic and she’s been peeing fine. This morning I thought I noticed it may be a little pink, but when I got home, she peed as normal w/o discoloration. She just peed now, though, and it most definitely was tainted pink.
The wet food I gave her this morning was kind of dark and reddish looking, could it be that? I don’t see how she could have an infection w/ that strong an antibiotic in her. She’s had no illnesses or prior health concerns, except for a UTI once before when my friends owned her.
She’s playful, chases shoelaces, has been eating, pooping, and peeing normally, and when I pet her, she isn’t in pain nor does she scream or swat at me. She’s far from lethargic as well.
Thanks to any info you guys can give me-I just signed her up for pet insurance as I’ve been unemployed for most of the last year and hopefully it will kick in soon or she’ll be better.

I took him to the vet this morning and he gave him some under the skin fluids and medicine to make it puke less. It actually ate a tiny bit today, but not much. During this who time it has not moved around except to drink water or go pee pee in the litter box. It does not even bother to bury the stuff. It moves around slowly and when it sits, it sits in a strange way with its paws folded under its belly. The vet says that if it does not eat in 2 days to bring it back in for xrays. I will not opt for the surgery starting at $1,500 if the vet recommend it. I will never get a pet again without insurance and I suggest you don’t either. Anyway, I am wondering what you would do it your cat reached the 7 week mark with no eating. At this point he seems sorta fine, but I can’t help but think he is in pain. P.S. If you wish to fund the expensive surgery, please contact me.

She growls and cries when i pick her up or move her and she stays put. Usually shes runnign around and messing with her toys. So i covered her with a blanket and fed her some food, good sign she is eating. She’s really loving when i pet her and love on her but the doesnt move much and limps when she does on her rear legs. She is still kinda playful but seems hurt. i dont want to goto the vet unless its an emergeny situation as i dont have much money and no insurance for her. What do you think could be wrong and what should i do? I did also introduce her to my friends dog and cat and it wasnt such a pleasant experience and since then this has been happening, but she looks hurt also. Maybe she fell or shes just emotional?

We have changed her food to Science Plan for sensitive stomachs. But she was still being sick every few days. So we took her to the vet Friday and they suggested there cat food. If she is still being sick in 8 weeks to take her back for tests. We do not have pet insurance at the moment and thought of paying out for loads of test scares me a little. Is it to late to get pet insurance for this. They do not cover pre existing medical conditions but as she has not been diagnosed with anything would she be covered. Any ideas would be welcome.

It looked tired and wouldn’t let us touch his back. We discoverd that there was a bump on his rear side and it looks like his right rear leg joint area is hurt. I’m a college student and I live on the minimal budget. I can afford taking him into the vet for the exam but if he needs a surgery or multiple times of xray there is just no way I can afford it. Even myself don’t have a health insurance b/c I can’t afford it. I feel really sad and guilty for not being able to bring him in to the vet. My heart hurts… I thougt finding out what’s wrong with him but not being able to do anything would be very cruel and also hard to bear for me. What do people usually do in this case? Will the animal shelter be able to provide him a care? (I saw many postings about the animals with health conditions). What would be the best thing I can to make my cat not painful?

my kitten is 9 weeks and is NOT an outside cat. i’m up-to-date on her shots and everything is normal. when we got her, the lady was exceptionally nice and showed us the mother and that everything was fine with her. i tried looking around the website but it just wanted me to pick out a plan that i liked- it really didn’t give me examples or persuade me about why i needed it.
