I would really like to know how much everything you need to get a cat costs. I have already figured out the food, bed, scratch post, ect. cost, but what about:
1. Neutering
2. Vaccinations (Initial and yearly)
3. Insurance (per week or month)
4. Micro-chipping
Around how much do all of these cost?
P.S. Don’t give me an all together total please. How much for each of these separately?

Why Is My Cat Drinking So Much Water?

My cat is 9 years old, she doesnt normally drink loads of water but recently she is drinking a lot, over the last few weeks she has been drinking more than usual but this morning she helped herself to my water that was in a glass on the floor and so I filled it up and let her have it and she was drinking for ages… it could be because i gave her dried food this morning but when shes had dried food in the past, although she does drink more, she doesnt drink THAT much!
My parents are away at the moment and they have all her vet/insurance policy information etc.
Other than the drinking a lot she is absolutely fine in herself, still eating and as michevious and friendly as ever so I dont know if its just that she is just thirstier!
Anyone have any ideas?

About a year ago, my 8 year old tabby cat was hit by a car and fractured his pelvis.
I found him in the back yard (he had climbed over the fence in his condition) and rushed him to an all night animal hospital that’s about 45 minutes away. I had to sign a form saying that I would pay for anything that they had to do to Oliver. I loved him, so I signed it and they took Ollie in for emergency surgery.
All added up, ollie’s accident cost $2,500(au)
If I had pet insurance for him for his whole life, would that have been cheaper?
I was thinking of getting it for my dogs but I can’t seem to work out if it’s necessary.

I am moving out at 18 (2 years) so I am savings from 16-18 and judging by furniture cost/deposit of rent cost vs savings ill have plenty left over incase of an emergency .
So anyway how much does it cost to get set up with…
Beds?
Jabs?
Bowls?
Insurance?
Also is this a good idea. I have 11 rats atm, Love them but I think most will have passed away by im 18 because they have a rather short lifespan:( and if they are alive I will have to keep them at dads and just pop-up to look after them. But either way if I got 2 baby rats, and a kitten near enough the same time, will it help the kitten and rats bond? as I did this with my lurcher and she gives them kisses, never hurts them.
Please don’t say “recue one from the shelter” even though I would love to because…
1) I want a KITTEN I can have for sevral years and bond with from the very beginning
2) an older cat will kill the rats str8 away

So, I have just been recently diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma…..a type of cancer….
I know this is the last thing that I should be worrying about, but my family is, by no means wealthy or well off (and never have been) and neither am I….. I live by myself, going to school part time and work full time…..
Anyway,
I have to go do a CT or CAT scan this Thursday and I have to pay for it myself…. my insurance does not cover it because I have a 12 month pre-existing, which means, since I haven’t had that insurance for 12 months, they will not cover me
I thought that I had good insurance cause I’m a public servant, and it’s insurance issued by the gov’t…..
I live in Tx and they just called me today telling me that I have to pay for the CT scan out of pocket
Anyone know the cost for something like this?

I’m getting a kitten so I’ll have to get all the routine procedures, vaccines, de-worming, spaying, etc.
But, I can’t find out any information on the costs associated online! I’m trying to figure out if I ought to invest in pet insurance or not. But, it’s hard to see what’s necessary if I can’t compare costs.
HELP!
