Pet Insurance… Is It Worth The Money?

I was wondering if getting pet insurance is worth the monthly fee? I read the similar questions on Yahoo Answers and it was about 50-50. I am asking because my cat became very ill over the past few days and we ended up having to take her to an emergency clinic. They ended up keeping her over night and quoted me $879 for treatment and $1,130 for worst case seneario. I put the deposit down of $879 and they ran tests and started her on IV fluids. Then they called and told me they have to do an abdonmial ultrasound for $300 and they are still not sure why she is so sick.
I know getting insurance will not cover this incident, but I really do not want to be caught off guard again.
My question is what would you do, get the insurance for peace of mind next time or take your chances and hope for healthy pets? I was quoted $350/year for 2 cats. Accidents, illness, hospital stays, lab test and meds covered
If you have pet insurance do you think it was worth it or a waste of money?

I’m thinking about getting pet insurance for my three cats but I have no idea if it’s really worth it. I already go to a low cost clinic but I worry if a real, life threatening emergency were to come up if I could afford the vet bill or not. Does anybody have experience with pet insurance? Did it come through for you or was it pretty much useless?

2 trees feel on my house during a storm, they broke my backyard iron fence and are covering more than half of the ground of my lawn. They are just laying there.
They are not my trees, they belong to a small property area behind my lawn. Behind that property area is another house with a lawn. So I think this property belongs to government since its neither mine or of my neighbor behind me.
Now, I don’t know who to call? I don’t know any name or number for that property behind my house. The property is just a ground which is 30 or 40 feet long and 8-10 feet wide, and have long large trees, woods, and other junk on it.
Since the fence is broken a turtle have crossed and is living in my lawn. He must be living in that property area before along with some cats (I also believe the local cats live there at night ).
I have $1000 deductible for home insurance which means I might have to pay $1000 if I call my insurance. I only have $100 in my bank. I am sick diabetic man with no money

I took my 10 month old cat to the vet to get its vaccination’s and i decided to get it insurance it was three hundred dollars and that doesn’t cover getting him neutered and his meds and the iv its just for check up and such and they told me that he was in the best health and i had to take him back yesterday and they said that he had tarter on his teeth and he had dust mites and said that his health needed improvement he even lost weight almost a pound that doesn’t seen like much but it is is on a cat and they said that was fine
and the thing that really got to me was they said that i had to get him shaved down to the skin because he has one dime size mat on his stomach and thats just natural he is a long haired in /out door cat
should i confront them about all these problems of should i just do it and not say anything

My cat recently had a fight and has come out with the short straw, It has cost me alot of money to get him back on the road to recovery, and it was quite a shock.
Id like to know of people who have found pet insurance to be reliable and worth the money?
