I think it was bleeding but it is a red line from where it was scratched. I looked up a lot of information on this but it was in reference to a corneal abrasion and its on the sclera. I do not have health insurance so what can i do at home? What products can i buy? I have let a wet paper towel sit on it for a while. I also put some ice on it. Now i have it wrapped in a gauze pad. What else should I do? (My cat did this – I picked my head up in bed and bam right into my eye) All answers are very appreciated. Also for people who have had this, how long would/should it take? Anyone have this and not go to the doctor? I know they would give antibiotics but like i said, no insurance. Thanks!

I cant find anywhere and someone said it was because if insurance purposes? Is this true?
The other thing is that he has suddenly started doing the toilet in strange places, mostly where my clothes have been eg my drawers. This is very unlike him but he is a very loving cat and follows me everywhere, I had to move back with my parents due to illness and my flatmate looked after him. I am back now and wondered if this could be because he was missing me??

About a year ago, my 8 year old tabby cat was hit by a car and fractured his pelvis.
I found him in the back yard (he had climbed over the fence in his condition) and rushed him to an all night animal hospital that’s about 45 minutes away. I had to sign a form saying that I would pay for anything that they had to do to Oliver. I loved him, so I signed it and they took Ollie in for emergency surgery.
All added up, ollie’s accident cost $2,500(au)
If I had pet insurance for him for his whole life, would that have been cheaper?
I was thinking of getting it for my dogs but I can’t seem to work out if it’s necessary.

So anyway how much does it cost to get set up with…
Beds?
Jabs?
Bowls?
Insurance?
Also is this a good idea. I have 11 rats atm, Love them but I think most will have passed away by im 18 because they have a rather short lifespan:( and if they are alive I will have to keep them at dads and just pop-up to look after them. But either way if I got 2 baby rats, and a kitten near enough the same time, will it help the kitten and rats bond? as I did this with my lurcher and she gives them kisses, never hurts them.
Please don’t say “recue one from the shelter” even though I would love to because…
1) I want a KITTEN I can have for sevral years and bond with from the very beginning
2) an older cat will kill the rats str8 away
BUT how

I am 18 years old and I was in a dirtbike accident I was riding in the ditch and going about 30 miles per hour. There was a huge hole in the ditch and I didn’t see it because the grass was a little big, so when I hit the hole I lost control and fell. I had a helmet ($600 professional helmet) which probably saved my life because when I fell I hit my head really hard and suffered a concussion. I also had a little bleeding from my kidneys because my body hit the handle bars. Well I was taken to the hospital, and they took Cat-scans and stuff and said I was okay. I only had a mild concussion and the kidney bleeding would go away if I drank a lot of fluids. This has been two months ago and the hospital just called because the insurance needs more information about the accident. Should I worry about this? Will they not cover the medical bill?
Additional details: I was riding a CRF230F. This is a trail bike not a racing bike. It has 230cc engine. I have been riding dirtbikes since the age of 5 but don’t have a motorcycle license but I never ride on the road just in the ditch, or inside my yard ( I have a one acre yard). I don’t have motorcycle insurance, but I don’t care about the bike. Will the insurance cover this? If it won’t why won’t it cover?

I live in UK, my mum lives in Cyprus. I’m moving back to her in two weeks time because of the way that my dad is treating me (long story + that’s not what this question is about :p)
Ok, so my white rabbit is definitley going with me, we did all the insurance and travel stuff already. The thing is, my mum wants a cat. And she’s going to have a Sphinx (yes, the hairless ones with head 10X as large as it’s body ) kitten. My rabbit gets along with dogs because lots of my friends have dogs and they are all perfectly fine with him, and vice versa.
But I don’t know if he’s going to be ok with cats. I don’t know anyone who has a cat, and also I know that he might act differently towards this cat than to the other one.
So I was wondering, do you know how rabbits get along with cats, or what to do if they’ll be negative?
Leaving him is not an option, he’s my biggest treasure, no way I’m giving him up!

I am just curious as I had a debate with my cats microchip comany over this.
I purchased the 20.00 emergency insurance for if my dog is lost and hit by a car that it will pay for emergency LIFE SAVING treatment.
They then tried to get me to get it for the 2 indoor cats I have. I told them the risk of them getting loose is very slim but possible so i had them microchipped BUT that I was pretty sure if they were hit by a car they would not require life saving treatment as they would be dead and he told me that cats are hit and live all the time.
SO my question…. have you ever heard of or had a cat get hit and live?

Is there any way he could have given me rabies? An infected animal (In this case, as I said, my cat) bit me out of the blue. He’s a stray/steet cat that I took in and he leaves for days at a time. When he came back after a week of being gone, last month, he bit me. I didn’t think of rabies until just the other day, when I was reading an article. The only symptom that my cat showed then was being more aggressive when he felt threatened. However, he is still alive, a month later, and an infected animal usually dies a week after their own infection, correct? He is still a bit more protective of himself, hisses at things he thinks are threats, including me sometimes, but otherwise, he’s a normal cat. I truly hope a professional can answer this question; with my insurance options dwindled, and money low, I can’t afford to go to the doctor for whatever reason, especially paranoia. Your help is greatly appreciated.
