On 7/19/07 Was in a car accident at aprox 4:30pm I have been insured with state farm for quite some time and around the new yea I switched my insurance from a office in Mount Airy Office (Sherrie Cats) to Felicia Everett’s office in the cases where i had to run to the office for service on my account ect and because it was close to where i currently lived. My insurance was going great until my car when I first switched to Felicia’s office conked out and I had to buy my Cobalt I started to get some weird charges and discrepancies going on that was in April time frame, Upon calling state farm on 7/19/07 to report my claim I was told my car insurance was canceled 7/9/07 and that I was sent a notice telling me that… I never was sent any notice or even called to inform me what I was to be canceled or was being canceled or even that I missed a payment ect…. I have 5 witnesses to that. I paid my insurance by direct debt most months and if I had the money previous to the due date the 20th of the month I would run a money order there just to get it off my plate. I paid $208 a month. I could not talk to Felicia on the 19th because by time accident had happened and I got the info to call her she was closed for the day. On 7/20/07 I called the office that supervises Felicia’s office to complain about what I was told. The lady listened to me then called Felicia and was told that I had a returned check back in May ect. I was shocked because I paid in MONEY ORDER in may (I have the stub to prove it) before my monthly insurance payment was to be taken by direct debt from my account at M&T Bank. For the record M&T bank says that no money was even taken nor returned to them that month. I never had received any returned check ect from the office nor no notice from the office by mail or by phone that a payment was returned missed ect. Also have witnesses to that and my cell phone bill. I paid my insurance in June and was about to pay today for my July payment via money order. When I paid my June payment I was told nada about my account being canceled nor that may was a missed payment in addition… towards the end of June Felicia herself called me because I had submitted a towing receipt for reimbursement and had a whole conversation with me in regards to info about the tow. She neglected to say anything about the policy being canceled. I even a few days letter received a check in the amount of $80.00 for tow reimbursement. There was nothing in that mail about my policy. A matter of fact the only recent mail I have received from state farm is something about my life insurance. Recently I have had some issues in regards to them trying to add money to amount owed because I wasn’t always allowing them to direct debt and I was paying with money order. But this is unacceptable. I received no notice of this I have all my pay stubs from the money orders and in addition witnesses of all these things I say proving the truthful ness of my case in regards to this matter. My policy was even still valid on my card as a valid policy. I am disgusted with the company and this is totally fishy and weird what happened and I am holing them responsible because I have no notice of cancellation ect.
