if you want to insure a car thats a cat d , it could cost you a bit more , if you have an acident in a cat d car and it is writen off your insurance company will not pay you the full value and could be as much as 3 or 4 hundred [...]

It goes an a National Database that they have, and yes you will need to mention it – doesn’t cat c mean written off? i dont think your able to insure a cat c vehicle unless its been MoT’ed and inspected by the DVLA… quality pocket watches

My cleaning people accidentally locked my cats in my bedroom and they subsequently peed on my bed, ruining the mattress and pillows. Will my renters insurance cover this kind of pet related damage? I use State Farm.

It WILL NOT lower the price that it can be insured for. It will reduce the maximum amount that they would pay out in the event of a total loss. That would be somewhat less than the amount for the identical car without the Cat C. Some companies will not cover Cat C cars.
