I found out when I had a knock in it that it had been involved in an accident before, a category D. My understanding was that a Cat D meant it was damaged but the damage was not valued as more than the cars worth and therefore only a minor accident. However my father in law investigated it when I tried to sell it and told me it had been written off.
What does a CAT D actually mean?
The car is not a write off (in terms that I understand ie: not roadworthy/scrapped) In my opinion. It has passed MOT’s and services perfectly, it is MOT’ed until october next year, and the car has been vigorously checked over, there were signs of a crunch at the front behind the grill/bumper but nothing major and I have had everything repaired.
I have been doing some digging and found that the Van Rental place that sold it to me shares the same office with its neighbouring firm, a vehicle recovery company, and I went in there recently and saw that the guy who sold it to me was working on the recovery side of the office answering calls to that effect instead of behind the van rental desk.
My personal impression is that the recovery company is owned by the rental company in some way, they recovered it after an accident and bought it off the insurance company, paid for it to be repaired and sold it to me while lying to me about its history. I being a new driver didn’t investigate the car thoroughly before purchase, my mistake and I will regret it for a while!
Any opinions/ideas about the CAT D/Car history from what I’ve said? If I want to sell it to one of those online companies who buy any cars, do I have to class it as a write off or just an accident? Thanks

Also is this a good idea. I have 11 rats atm, Love them but I think most will have passed away by im 18 because they have a rather short lifespan:( and if they are alive I will have to keep them at dads and just pop-up to look after them. But either way if I got 2 baby rats, and a kitten near enough the same time, will it help the kitten and rats bond? as I did this with my lurcher and she gives them kisses, never hurts them.
Please don’t say “recue one from the shelter” even though I would love to because…
1) I want a KITTEN I can have for sevral years and bond with from the very beginning

I know this is the last thing that I should be worrying about, but my family is, by no means wealthy or well off (and never have been) and neither am I….. I live by myself, going to school part time and work full time…..

I have to go do a CT or CAT scan this Thursday and I have to pay for it myself…. my insurance does not cover it because I have a 12 month pre-existing, which means, since I haven’t had that insurance for 12 months, they will not cover me :(
I thought that I had good insurance cause I’m a public servant, and it’s insurance issued by the gov’t…..
I live in Tx and they just called me today telling me that I have to pay for the CT scan out of pocket :(
Anyone know the cost for something like this?

Some are migraines and some are just bad headaches. I have been seeing a neurologist for years and he is out of options. The only thinf=g that helped me was botox injections but my insurance sompany stopped paying for it. I have now developed a dependancy on fioricet pain medication. I want to be pain free and I want to stop taking these pills but I have 3 kids and I need to be able to function(the fioricet takes the pain away so I can do my daily stuff with the kids and taking care of the house ect…) I am going to a headache specialist in a few weeks. My neuroligist told me a long time ago before the fioricet thing that I suffer from migraines, tension headaches and everyday pain. Is there anyone out there that has a similar problem? I have had cat scans and mri’s they can’t find anything.

I had some xrays but not sure where..I know my foot, ankle and hip were xrayed.
My back or shoulder blade feels broken when I kind of lift my hands above my head or move a my side a certain way..my hip and leg just below side of knee feel very painful like a severe searing pain but not unless I move my body a certain way..back.shoulder blade hurts all the time though even with severe searing pain..could this really be only a strain/strains..
I have no way to hospital to see records from my wreck 6 days ago as only liability and have not got a car yet..I don’t think they will tell me on the phone where they xrayed will they..
I am terrified they will not pay any medical bills..I only have $5000 insurance on me and crapp, cheap HMO and cat scans and xrays alone well over $6000 plus three

The insurance company say its not worth them repairing but he can have it back and repair it himself. They have deemed it a category D so he must have it checked over as roadworthy before he can ride it. The only damage is a broken rear light and slight damage to the handlebars. We live in Wiltshire
