I have a tigra at the moment but am having a few problems with it. When I brought it I wanted a Puma but thought oh well there isnt one I like at the mo ill go with a tigra (and I liked the Tigra). Now I want a Puma – trouble is my Tigra is a 1.4 16v and all of the pumas I have seen are mostly 1.7 16v (I know you can get 1.4 16 v but are rare) This obviously means I will go up in the insurance cat and also the tax will go up. Just wondering peoples oppinions with this and whether you have any info or what you would go with. Another Tigra or a Puma??????? Helpfull answers pleeeeeeeeeeeze Thanks in advance…

I’ve ran a check and its had 2 owners, was registered in March 2000, then was written off as a cat c in dec 2000. its done 51,000 miles and looks in top nick, will the fact that its a cat c affect my insurance? has anyone else bought a cat c car? Cheers

Im looking to buy a used car and have found one thats in excellent condition, low mileage etc. But it is Cat D on HPI. Now i know this means that it has been previously damaged and repaired, but does anyone know whether it would be a bad idea to buy it and why? Does it affect me much? Its just its obviously a lot cheaper to buy this one but wont do it if it means i cant get insurance or will have problems etc.

As long as the car is made road worthy then your insurance company will pay out the full amount in the event of a claim.
To be on the safe side tell your insurance company when the work is complete, and to be extra safe get it in writing from them.
