the driver was 19 she was driving wrecklessly i was seat belted, but still injured. we went to the hospital, i had an x-ray cat scan and MRI i was covered by staywell healthy kids, but her insurance should have paid the bill right? i keep getting a bill for $700 thats soon to be sent to a collection agency.. i can’t afford to pay a bill for someone elses mistake.

I had an accident about 4 years ago. My car was repaired by Ford through my insurance company, I was told everything was ok and all I had to do was pay my excess.
However I am just about to sell my car and it has been recorded as a CAT D – which is a write off and registered as a total loss, the insurance company however didn’t offer me any money or anything to the value of the car or didn’t even say it was a write off!!! Is this legal? and what do I do now?
There is being an investigation now between the garage and insurance company and the HPI company but when will become of this?

i was in an accident 5 months ago and i final finished my chiro and acupuncture and physical therapy and had a CAT scan as well. the cost for those things are $15985. my car was totaled by an unisured motorclam since he had no insurance and he ******* hit my baby my car was only 8months old that asshole. the repair cost more than the car was worth it was around $40000 and the car new was $35900. so what should i be looking forward to.

Motorbike Accident – Claim On Insurance Or Repair Privately?

I had an accident on my bike the other day. Coming out of a corner, in fairly torrential conditions, my rear wheel lost traction and began to lurch from side to side. Next thing myself and bike were sliding along the road.
I must have come out of the corner too agressively given the conditions, even though I genuinely don’t feel I did.
The result is about 1k of damage to the bike mainly to the right side.
Front plastics, right side plastic, right bar end, front break lever assembly, front tyre seems either misaligned or buckled, small dint in petrol can, engine casing a bit messed up, crash protector is damaged and the exhaust is a bit messed up.
The bike was purchased new for about 4k about 4 months ago. It’s still under kawasaki warranty. I have fully comp insurance with a £200 excess, and no no claims bonus.
Questions: -
If the insurance fix the bike my premium will go up, and the bike will instantly lose value as it will be registered as a Cat D. So when I sell it in future, given the previous damage, it wont’ sell for as much. Or at least this is my understanding.
But they will get the bike fixed at a kwak dealers so it’ll retain its warranty.
But, if I decide to get it fixed, then it won’t be a cat D and my insurance premium won’t increase. But i’d be likely to pursue the work from a non kwak repair centre, thus invalidating my warranty. However, I could get the essentials repaired and replace plastics and cosmetic stuff over time.
I have never dealt with a situation like this, so I’m wondering … what would a cat D do to a bikes value if it is later on sold in a fully working, fully repaired state?
Could I expectx a huge increase on my premium as a result of making a claim? I currently pay £55 per month for insurance. What is this likely to go up to?
Which option seems the best solution given the circumstances?

On 7/19/07 Was in a car accident at aprox 4:30pm I have been insured with state farm for quite some time and around the new yea I switched my insurance from a office in Mount Airy Office (Sherrie Cats) to Felicia Everett’s office in the cases where i had to run to the office for service on my account ect and because it was close to where i currently lived. My insurance was going great until my car when I first switched to Felicia’s office conked out and I had to buy my Cobalt I started to get some weird charges and discrepancies going on that was in April time frame, Upon calling state farm on 7/19/07 to report my claim I was told my car insurance was canceled 7/9/07 and that I was sent a notice telling me that… I never was sent any notice or even called to inform me what I was to be canceled or was being canceled or even that I missed a payment ect…. I have 5 witnesses to that. I paid my insurance by direct debt most months and if I had the money previous to the due date the 20th of the month I would run a money order there just to get it off my plate. I paid $208 a month. I could not talk to Felicia on the 19th because by time accident had happened and I got the info to call her she was closed for the day. On 7/20/07 I called the office that supervises Felicia’s office to complain about what I was told. The lady listened to me then called Felicia and was told that I had a returned check back in May ect. I was shocked because I paid in MONEY ORDER in may (I have the stub to prove it) before my monthly insurance payment was to be taken by direct debt from my account at M&T Bank. For the record M&T bank says that no money was even taken nor returned to them that month. I never had received any returned check ect from the office nor no notice from the office by mail or by phone that a payment was returned missed ect. Also have witnesses to that and my cell phone bill. I paid my insurance in June and was about to pay today for my July payment via money order. When I paid my June payment I was told nada about my account being canceled nor that may was a missed payment in addition… towards the end of June Felicia herself called me because I had submitted a towing receipt for reimbursement and had a whole conversation with me in regards to info about the tow. She neglected to say anything about the policy being canceled. I even a few days letter received a check in the amount of $80.00 for tow reimbursement. There was nothing in that mail about my policy. A matter of fact the only recent mail I have received from state farm is something about my life insurance. Recently I have had some issues in regards to them trying to add money to amount owed because I wasn’t always allowing them to direct debt and I was paying with money order. But this is unacceptable. I received no notice of this I have all my pay stubs from the money orders and in addition witnesses of all these things I say proving the truthful ness of my case in regards to this matter. My policy was even still valid on my card as a valid policy. I am disgusted with the company and this is totally fishy and weird what happened and I am holing them responsible because I have no notice of cancellation ect.

1. Other car was south bound, lost control and crossed the 101 divider and hit my north bound car.
2. Other driver was killed instantly. He had no insurance and a suspended license. Police report hasn’t been released yet but driver may have been drunk. Insurance was cancelled in March when license was suspended. Does lien holder on car have any liablity? How do I find out if at-fault driver has assets?
3. I was the passenger in a friend’s car. I sustained minor injuries but spent a night in the hospital for testing and observation. Medical bills will be in excess of $25K between ambulance, ER, doctor bills, CAT scans, etc.
4. Friend’s insurance has $20k/$30k uninsured motorist coverage.
5. My auto insurance has $2000 PIP and my underinsured policy may cover the additional difference. I’m in TX.
6. I don’t want to get stuck with this bill. Already, the hospital and ambulance company are calling and sending me bills.
Any advice on how to proceed.

It WILL NOT lower the price that it can be insured for.
It will reduce the maximum amount that they would pay out in the event of a total loss. That would be somewhat less than the amount for the identical car without the Cat C. Some companies will not cover Cat C cars.
