(freinds hopefully.) for one cat, the cat food might be around $10 a week. but its love and affection are pay enough. If you get the kitten it may be fine with the rats as it will grow up with them and they will just become part of the environment though it may stare at them alot. as for cost your looking at your cat, which you can get kittens free ALOT of the time and you'll need a few things like toys kitty litter box, kitty litter, if you want a bed ( though not NESSISARY as cats are quite happy on your bed lol or the couch etc. and of course your water and food bowl all in all you could pick up your nessesities for around 100-150 for your cat .and your cat would be quite set up. You may also look at gettin a travel crate wich you could buy off craigslist for 20$.Also think about gettin your cat fixed. wich will run around 20-50 depending on where you go and how old the cat is. Jobs just apply at local stores and food service places. use craigslist for alot of your stuff as you can pick alot of furniture up for free.
