I was in a car accident (100% other drivers fault) and there was damage to my car. I got two quotes from auto body shops that I went to that are at least 800 dollars more than what the adjuster from the insurance company of the faulty driver. the insurance company wont at least meet the lowest quote from the auto body shop, they said because ther shop is using new parts (oem parts or something) and the insurance company says they will pay for only used parts.
I said I am not putting used parts from a junkyard on my car and they said since the car isnt at least a coupel of years they will put used parts on it.
Im tired of trying to explain myself to them onthe phone.
what can I do,.
never ind I had to drive myself to the hospital the next day to get a cat scan just to make sure (results no injuries).
What can I do? they are being so selfish and arrogant.

even if this had been your own insurance company, they will only pay for used vs new parts.
would you pay 500 for something when you can get it for 200. works the same for insurance. otherwise insurance would be double what it cost now.
if others state hire an lawyer, they are wrong. a lawyer cant do anything to force the company to pay for new parts.

The part on your car wasn’t new. So in lieu of them drepeciating the crap out of it they will put aftermarket (new but generic) or you can get salvage part which is original market value.
This is what is owed. You, of course. are able to pay the difference in the parts if you like.
