It WILL NOT lower the price that it can be insured for.
It will reduce the maximum amount that they would pay out in the event of a total loss. That would be somewhat less than the amount for the identical car without the Cat C. Some companies will not cover Cat C cars.

It will lower the amount that the car can be insured for as it has a recorded cat c accident on its record. Unfortunately this will make little or no difference to the premium as its also the risk associated with the car as well as its replacement value that go towards the premium.

You can compare how the insurance quotes would change, for example here – autoinsurance.bebto.com
