What happened in the accident?. Did her reckless driving cause the accident, or was there another vehicle involved? You need to file a claim against the at-fault party.
Contact the adjuster. Find out if they are going to pay the outstanding medicals. Usually, health insurance will place a lien on the auto claim too. Tell the adjuster you were injured. You may live in a state which requires PIP coverage. This coverage pays for a medical expenses incurred as a result of the loss. In some states however, it only pays a percentage.

Car insurance is not the same as health insurance. It does provide coverage for medical bills related to an accident in most cases — but it is a completely different animal from health insurance. How it works is different in each state.
So – you will need to call the adjuster that is handling the claim. If you are still under 18, the insurance company will have to deal with your parents -since you are not a legal adult. If you are over 18, then you can handle the matter yourself.
Just call the adjuster handling the claim. They will explain the process to you and walk you through it.

Her coverage definitely should reimburse you for your medical expenses no matter whether it happened in your home state or not. Actually, your Staywell Healthy Kids coverage should pick up the tab and subrogate (go against) her coverage to recoup the monies – in this case, you should be able to be reimbursed for deductibles & co-payments made. Hopefully you got a copy of the police report. Since you are still a minor, it would be your parents or legal guardian who would need to take action. They should contact a personal injury attorney on your behalf to go after this driver for damages – they usually work on contingency fee basis which means they don’t get paid unless they obtain a settlement for you and then it’s a percentage of the settlement plus expenses. Plus this attorney may be able to contact the billing office regarding this pending collection to get them off your back, stating this matter is under litigation.
Good luck and I hope you feel better!

You may have to get a lawyer and file a lawsuit against the driver. if you can’t afford a lawyer get one that will take you case and get paid only if you win the lawsuit.did you file a police report? if you didn’t the lawyer will tell you what to do to get your bills paid.I would do this ASAP

The driver should be insured and the insurance should cover passengers. Call the driver and get this information before your credit is ruined by the hospital bill.
