I took my 10 month old cat to the vet to get its vaccination’s and i decided to get it insurance it was three hundred dollars and that doesn’t cover getting him neutered and his meds and the iv its just for check up and such and they told me that he was in the best health and i had to take him back yesterday and they said that he had tarter on his teeth and he had dust mites and said that his health needed improvement he even lost weight almost a pound that doesn’t seen like much but it is is on a cat and they said that was fine
and the thing that really got to me was they said that i had to get him shaved down to the skin because he has one dime size mat on his stomach and thats just natural he is a long haired in /out door cat
should i confront them about all these problems of should i just do it and not say anything

I had similar problems with them. My puppy was loosing her hair in the back. The vets stated they did not know what was wrong and constantly wanted to do test on her. In the end my puppy was not getting better and they were charging me a lot. I decided to shop around and found another vet. Immediately the new vet took five minutes and diagnosed my puppy with allergies.
To the issue of pet insurance I have VIP (Veterinary Pet Insurance) they are great and not that expensive. It is worth getting insurance with them. Here is there website: http://www.petinsurance.
