I want to buy a Cat D car but I want to know if an insurance company carrys out there own inspection to dertermin what catgory to give it. Cat D means there was no structual damage to the car just cosmetic. Would someone from the insurance company check this before putting the car in this Catgory
I am concerned cause the car i am buying had a knock on the back and thats are been repaired however this could have affected the frame of the car. I was thinking if there was damage to the frame the car would be placed in Cat C rather then Cat D

I don’t know that answer. I think AA or RAC will check a car over for you though. Do not know how much it will cost.
