Cat Eye Problems/vet Fees?

January 21st, 2010 → 12:17 pm @ // 3 Comments

My 2 year old cat has been diagnosed with glaucoma. I took her to another vet as I was not happy with the service I received from the first vet but I still have to pay the bill which is fine. I have taken her to another vet and they have diagnosed her also with glaucoma but the price they are charging for her treatment is much much less than the original vet. I personally dont care how much it is as it is covered on my insurance but how much should it be for a diagnosis and eye drops????
any help would be good thanks

there is no standard pricing for vet services. It varies from vet to vet. Find a vet that you are happy with should be more important than the cost at this time. I hope they can help kitty for you. She is way to young to have this condition.
    Best of luck

Well just like you I have seen one vet charge 100.00 US dollars for something and a second vet charge 50.00 US dollars for the same thing.
As far as how much it should be, I have no idea.

at least at the vet that we take our cats to it is $35 for an office visit plus the cost of any tests, meds or vaccinations etc.
