The company i work for is playing around with our ins. and right now i have no ins. i have cat scratch disease i’ve had for long time .It suddenly flared up my glands are swollen and i am in constant pain .I need a doc but not sure what to do.

They cannot deny you legally.
You mention cat scratch for a “long time”. How long?
Cat scratch fever normally shows within 1-2 weeks (not later)
Edit: If you wish to use antibiotics. The treatment is Zithro or doxycycline. Doxy can be also bought as over the counter in the bird store (same strength same thing, believe it or not *S*)

No they can’t it’s against the law to deny you medical treatment in an Emergency Room. I know from experience I currently don’t have health insurance and when i have a problem I have to go there. But I will tell you expect a very costly medical bill…but if you are in pain go to the E.R. you can always apply for financial assistance at many hospitals. Hope that helps!

Most hospital emergency rooms have a notice posted that states “it is illegal to refuse treatment for lack of money”, it’s a federal law.
Also, most hospitals will make payment arrangements to those willing but unable to pay at the time.
I might add that almost every city of size will have a “free clinic” for people in need.
